Passar — one tap, endless journey
Passar is a Nigerian contactless transit payment service. Riders tap a Passar card to pay bus fares. Operators use validators and dashboards for cashless fare collection, live records, and settlement.
Passar Limited (RC 9773233) is a mobility payment company in Ibadan, Nigeria. Riders buy or register a Passar card, top up a wallet, and tap the card or a code on a bus validator. The fare is deducted from the card balance. If a registered card is lost, it can be blocked and the balance moved to a replacement card.
Transport operators receive trip and fare records for their buses and validators, without the rider’s name or contact details, so they can reconcile revenue and reduce cash leakage.
The Passar app and website show balance, top-ups, trip history, and card status. Passar also works with universities and other institutions that put their name on a Passar card.
